We, that are Hannelore and Michael Kapmeyer
Michael has been very active since 1998 in reenactment groups of the middle ages, primarily in the group Viatores Temporis and later in the groups Anno 1265 and Volkelîn.
He takes an active part in Middle Ages Events at Freienfels, Burg Herzberg und Tannenberg and reenactment activities on the Ronneburg and the museum village at Torgelow and Archeon.
For all reenactment activities it is desireable to demonstrate dayly life in the middle ages as authentic as possible. An appropiate robe is the basic equipment, based on a appropiarte material.
In our times natural textiles are not easy o find. Most textiles are mixed with sythetic fibres or treated chemically. Furthermore, the stain should mimic the historical original.
So we decided to make a business from our hobby “reenactment”. The realization of our business idea was supported by the historical knowledge of Hannelore acquired through scientific studies at the Marburg University .
We sell unstained natural textiles in a variety of qualities and in various weaves and as well unicoloured woolen material. The most popular natural stains can be delivered directly, more are available on request. For sewing of middle aged cloth we provide natural yarns and links to books as for instance from Wolf Zerkowski.
The feedback from many satisfied customers which we receive via email and at marts confirm that our supply of natural textiles satisfies exactly the demand of our customers.
We are anxious to expand permanently our assortment of goods. Requests and suggestions of our customers are always desired and we will do our very best to meet your demands. If possible, we will attend medieval encampments or marts as hawkers to present cloth samples.
